Ingredients
  

Pastry ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil should be solid but not hard
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 6-8 tablespoons cold water add more if dough is too crumbly

Filling

  • 1 cup strawberry jam feel free to use other types of jam

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the flour and powdered sugar together.
  • Add the coconut oil and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add the cold water, mixing until the dough comes together.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  • Place a spoonful of strawberry jam in the center of each heart shape.
  • Fold over the edges to seal and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Dust with powdered sugar for added sweetness. Store in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature, or a week in the refrigerator. Freeze for longer storage.
