Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole milk Can substitute with almond milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

For Frying

  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on both sides.
  • Remove fritters from oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh out of the fryer. Pair with fruits or dips like chocolate or caramel sauce for variety.
