Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • few drops red or pink food coloring Add to achieve desired color

For Rolling

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar For rolling before baking

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until creamy.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to reach your desired shade and mix well.
  • Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll the chilled dough into small balls, then coat them in granulated sugar and powdered sugar.
  • Bake the cookies for 10–12 minutes, until they are cracked and set at the edges.
  • Allow them to cool, then enjoy your delicious cookies!

Notes

Serve the cookies on a lovely plate or in a colorful gift box. These cookies make a great treat for parties and pair well with hot cocoa or coffee. Optionally, sprinkle some extra powdered sugar on top before serving.
