Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 250 g caramel-peanut chocolate bars, chopped
  • 125 g unsalted butter
  • 30 g golden syrup or honey
  • 120 g puffed rice cereal

Topping Ingredients

  • 400 g milk chocolate, melted

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Line a 20 cm square baking tin with non-stick baking paper.
  • Place 200 g of the chopped caramel-peanut bars in a medium saucepan with the butter and golden syrup or honey.
  • Heat gently over medium heat, stirring constantly until mostly melted.
  • Put the puffed rice cereal into a large heatproof bowl, then pour in the melted mixture.
  • Stir well until the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared tin and press it down firmly into an even layer using the back of a spoon.

Topping

  • Pour the melted milk chocolate over the top and spread it evenly to cover the surface.
  • Scatter the remaining chopped chocolate bar pieces over the chocolate topping.

Chilling

  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until fully firm.
  • Cut into 16 slices, then serve.

Notes

To enhance the serving, drizzle melted chocolate over the top or serve alongside vanilla ice cream. This slice also pairs well with coffee or tea.
