  • Wash the strawberries gently, hull them, and slice them into halves or quarters.

Cooking

  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring regularly.
  • Reduce the heat to a simmer and whisk occasionally until the sauce thickens, about 20 to 23 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature.

Notes

For storage, transfer to an airtight container once cooled. It can be stored in the refrigerator for about 5 to 7 days or frozen for up to three months.
