  • 250 g broccoli, in bouquets Cut into bite-sized florets
  • 200 g mushrooms, sliced Sliced to preferred thickness
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped Enhances flavor
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped Add aromatics
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil For flavor and non-stick
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds Optional garnish
  • to taste pepper and salt For seasoning
  • 100 g tofu or chicken Optional protein boost

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash and chop the broccoli into small florets and slice the mushrooms.
  • Heat olive oil and sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Toss in broccoli and mushrooms, cooking while stirring frequently.
  • After a few minutes, add soy sauce, tofu or chicken if desired, and stir until heated through.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds (if using) and season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

Serve over jasmine rice or noodles for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for meal prep.
