Preparation
Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and generously coat a 9×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Spread the long-grain white rice evenly across the prepared dish.
Sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper over the rice.
Baking
Pour beef consomme directly over the rice, ensuring complete coverage.
Place butter pieces across the surface.
Seal the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake covered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
Remove the foil and return the dish to the oven for an additional 20-30 minutes.
Serving
Once the rice is tender and slightly browned, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
