Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, cake batter flavoring, and half-and-half until smooth and fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream with a hand mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks form, about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
  • Gently fold the condensed milk mixture into the whipped cream until you have a smooth, even ice cream base.
  • Transfer the mixture to an 8 x 8-inch pan or a similar freezer-safe container, then spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  • Freeze for about 20 minutes, just until the mixture thickens slightly so the sprinkles stay suspended instead of sinking.

Final Steps

  • Fold in the rainbow sprinkles, making sure they are distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Return to the freezer and leave uncovered for 3 to 5 hours, or until fully firm. For best results, freeze overnight.

Notes
