Ingredients
  

For the beef stir-fry

  • 1/2 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Add more for a stronger garlic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes Adjust to taste for spiciness.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

For the vegetables

  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 piece red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1/2 piece zucchini, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Additional garlic for flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For serving

  • 1 cup steamed white rice Can substitute with quinoa or cauliflower rice for a lighter option.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash the vegetables thoroughly and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  • Mince the garlic.

Cooking Beef

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the sesame oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned.
  • Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar, letting it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.

Cooking Vegetables

  • In another pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes until tender-crisp.

Serving

  • Serve the beef and stir-fried veggies over the steamed rice.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different vegetables according to your preference. Marinate the beef for 30 minutes before cooking for more flavor.
