  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, ground beef mixture, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and seasonings. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve the casserole hot with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables. You can add fresh herbs on top for extra flavor. For best storage, cover it and refrigerate leftovers for 3 to 4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
