  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes Adjust to taste.

  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper To taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice, fresh Adds brightness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Steam or boil the broccoli until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Drain the broccoli and place it in a bowl.
  • Smash the broccoli using a fork or potato masher, keeping some texture.

Cooking

  • In a hot pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant and golden, about 1 minute.
  • Add the chili flakes, salt, and pepper to the garlic, and mix well.

Assembly

  • Pour the garlic and chili mixture over the smashed broccoli and mix well.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice and serve warm.

Notes

Best served immediately for maximum flavor. Can be garnished with extra chili flakes or fresh herbs.
