  • 1 lb ground beef Use well-seasoned ground beef for best flavor.
  • 4 large flour tortillas Large tortillas work best for holding the filling.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese Select your favorite type of cheese.
  • to taste salt, pepper, garlic powder Season generously for optimal flavor.

  • to taste pickles For a classic burger crunch.
  • to taste diced onions Adds a fresh bite.
  • to taste burger sauce For dipping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  • Press a small handful of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cooking

  • Cook the beef side down for 2 to 3 minutes until it’s browned and aromatic.
  • Flip the tortilla over, sprinkle cheese generously over the beef, and fold the tortilla in half.
  • Grill both sides of the quesadilla until the tortillas are golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted.
  • Slice the quesadilla into wedges and serve with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. For longer storage, freeze them wrapped properly for up to 2 months.
