Ingredients
  

Noodles and Sauces

  • 12 ounces lasagna noodles No-cook noodles are recommended.
  • 1 jar marinara sauce Extra sauce helps prevent drying out.

Cheeses

  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese Reserve some mozzarella for topping.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Meat and Vegetables

  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage Can be substituted with more vegetables.
  • 1 medium onion Chopped.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.

Seasonings

  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Brown the ground beef or sausage with chopped onions and garlic in a pan. Drain excess fat.
  • While the meat cools, prepare to layer the ingredients in the slow cooker.

Layering

  • In the slow cooker, layer marinara sauce on the bottom.
  • Add broken lasagna noodles, followed by ricotta cheese, browned meat mixture, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mozzarella on top.

Cooking

  • Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the layers.
  • Cover and cook on low for about 4-6 hours until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or garlic bread. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for added color. Can be assembled the night before and refrigerated.
