Marinade Ingredients

  • 1 cup Honey (Maple syrup makes a great alternative.)
  • 3 tablespoons Gochujang – Korean chili paste (Consider homemade versions for dietary needs.)
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce (Use coconut aminos for a Paleo-friendly alternative.)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil (Can be omitted if needed.)
  • 1 tablespoon Finely Minced Ginger (Fresh ginger is preferable for best results.)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Mince finely to unlock the fullest flavor.)

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs (Tender and juicy; other cuts can also work.)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds (Perfect for topping your Korean Chicken Thighs.)
  • 2 tablespoons Sliced Green Onions (Adds a touch of color and flavor.)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine honey, gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
  • Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over.
  • Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for best flavor.

Cooking

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and transfer the marinated chicken to a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For optimal flavor, marinate the chicken thighs overnight. Alternately, you can grill the chicken for a smoky flavor.
