  • 2 cups hash browns, thawed Make sure to thoroughly thaw and drain to avoid excess moisture.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
  • 2 large eggs Can be substituted with flaxseed meal mixture or egg replacer.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for the waffle maker Use to grease the waffle maker before cooking.

Preparation

  • Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, shredded cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined.

Cooking

  • Scoop a portion of the mixture onto the preheated waffle maker and close the lid.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Carefully remove the chaffles and repeat with the remaining mixture.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings or sauces.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator, or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in a toaster or toaster oven.
