Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the brown sugar garlic glaze generously over each fillet.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a squeeze of fresh lemon right before serving. Fresh salmon fillets from a local fishmonger are often superior in flavor and texture.
