Main Ingredients

  • 170 g milk or dark chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor
  • 225 ml chilled double cream, divided 125ml for melting, 100ml for whipping
  • 30 g powdered sugar Adds sweetness to the whipped cream

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Add the chocolate chips and 125ml of the cream to a large microwave-safe bowl.
  • Heat in short 20-second intervals, stirring after each one, until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth.
  • Let it cool for around 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the remaining 100ml cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled chocolate mixture using a spatula.
  • Divide the mousse between 6 small ramekins or serving glasses.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or longer for a firmer texture.

Notes

Serve in simple ramekins or elegant glasses, optionally topped with fresh fruits, cocoa powder, shaved chocolate, or light whipped cream. Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
