  • 1 box box of cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)

For the toppings

  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream for layering and garnish
  • Powdered sugar for garnish, optional

Preparation

  • Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake. Let it cool.
  • While the cake is cooling, slice the strawberries and mix them with a little sugar if desired.

Assembly

  • Once the cake has cooled, slice it in half horizontally.
  • Layer the bottom half with strawberries and whipped cream.
  • Place the top half of the cake on, and add more strawberries and whipped cream on top.
  • Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve.

Notes
