  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated for better texture.
  • 1/4 cup butter Divided for use in cooking and sauce.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adjust garlic to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon Fresh lemon juice is recommended.

  • Fresh parsley for garnish Adds a pop of color and flavor.

Preparation and Cooking

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • In a shallow dish, combine Parmesan cheese and a little more salt and pepper.
  • Dredge the chicken breasts in the cheese mixture, pressing to adhere.
  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and remaining butter. Cook until garlic is fragrant.
  • Stir in lemon juice and pour the sauce over the chicken.
  • Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For an elevated flavor, consider marinating the chicken in lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil before cooking. You can also finish the chicken under the broiler for a crispy topping.
