  • 1 30g bag sweet microwave popcorn
  • 45 g unsalted butter
  • 225 g marshmallows

  • extra butter or cooking oil spray For greasing hands

Preparation

  • Prepare the microwave popcorn according to the package directions.
  • Put the butter and marshmallows in a large saucepan. Warm over medium heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from the heat, add the popcorn, and stir until fully coated. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Line a baking tray with nonstick baking paper.
  • Butter your hands or spray with cooking oil. Divide the mixture into 8 portions and roll into balls (about ½ cup each). Place on the prepared tray.
  • Leave to stand for 1–2 hours until set.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week. Options for customization include using flavored popcorn, adding mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts, and using food coloring for decor.
