  • 1 pound beef steak (such as sirloin, flank, or ribeye), thinly sliced against the grain Choose high-quality cuts for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch Helps thicken the marinade.

For Stir-Frying

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water For creating sauce.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet or wok over high heat. Add garlic, ginger, and marinated beef. Stir-fry until the beef is cooked through.
  • Add sliced bell peppers, onion, and beef broth/water. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Serve with fluffy white rice or savory noodles, and consider adding sesame seeds or sliced scallions for garnish. The dish is also great for meal prep and can be stored in individual portions.
