  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) Can be substituted with basil or parsley.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Peel the onions, cutting off the tops and bottoms to create a flat base.
  • Place the prepared onions in a baking dish. Drizzle them generously with olive oil and melted butter.
  • Season the onions with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Top with fresh herbs.

Cooking

  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and return the dish to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes to caramelize the onions.
  • Serve warm as a delightful side to any meal.
