Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta Your choice of pasta.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced garlic for flavor.
  • 2 cups milk Can substitute with dairy-free alternatives.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best results.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the pasta and 4 cups of water (or broth) and bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the pasta is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
  • After the pasta is cooked, stir in the milk and Parmesan cheese, mixing until creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For richer sauce, consider adding a pat of butter when stirring in the cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
