  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef or 450g
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups milk or heavy cream use milk for lighter options.
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking it up until browned.
  • Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in beef broth and milk. Stir well to combine everything.
  • Add pasta and Italian seasoning, making sure the pasta is mostly submerged in the liquid.
  • Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy.
  • Adjust seasoning if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan to enhance the dish.

Notes

Serve hot with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
