  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

  • 3 cups beef broth Can use chicken broth as an alternative
  • 2 cups milk Or use heavy cream for a richer sauce
  • 12 oz pasta Penne, rotini, or fettuccine
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese For richness
  • 2 tbsp butter For creaminess
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking it up until browned.
  • Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in beef broth and milk. Stir well to combine everything.
  • Add pasta and Italian seasoning, making sure the pasta is mostly submerged in the liquid.
  • Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy.
  • Adjust seasoning if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan to enhance the dish.
  • Serve hot with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.

Notes

To prevent overcooking the pasta, keep an eye on it as it may continue to cook slightly after being removed from heat. Feel free to add vegetables for extra nutrition!
