  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 3 tablespoons butter Divided for cooking

Instructions
 

Cooking the Chicken

  • In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then add them to the skillet.
  • Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove chicken and set aside.

Preparing the Noodles

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  • Add the egg noodles and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir to combine, then bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and let simmer for about 8-10 minutes, or until noodles are tender and liquid is absorbed.

Finishing Touches

  • Slice the chicken and serve it atop the buttered noodles.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, whisk in a splash of heavy cream or sour cream just before serving. Feel free to incorporate vegetables like peas or spinach while cooking the noodles.
