Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 414 ml)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract For a stronger flavor, consider adding an extra teaspoon.
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Whipped to stiff peaks.

Mix-ins

  • 15 pieces chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed into chunks Use high-quality cookies for the best flavor.

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk the sweetened condensed milk with the vanilla and half-and-half until the mixture is smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream with a mixer until stiff peaks form, about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
  • Gently fold the condensed milk mixture into the whipped cream until you have a smooth ice cream base.
  • Place the sandwich cookies in a sealed plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin to the desired size.
  • Add the crushed cookies to the ice cream base and gently fold until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container and smooth the top with a spatula.

Freezing

  • Freeze uncovered for 3 to 5 hours, or until fully firm. For a firmer texture, leave it overnight.

Notes

For serving, consider using waffle cones, drizzling with chocolate or caramel sauce, or pairing with fresh berries or brownies. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.
