Ingredients

Ice Cream Base

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz / 414 g
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and half-and-half until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream vigorously until stiff peaks begin to form.
  • Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined.
  • Spoon the mixture into ice cream bar molds, making sure to leave a little room at the top for expansion as the mixture freezes.
  • Insert wooden sticks into the molds, then place them in the freezer for about 3 to 5 hours, or overnight.

Dipping

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted.
  • Carefully remove the bars from the molds and dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring all sides are covered.
  • Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the bars on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
  • Sprinkle toppings over the chocolate while it’s still wet, if desired.
  • Enjoy immediately for a softer texture, or return them to the freezer for a firmer bite.

Notes

For an elegant presentation, serve on parchment-lined platters or in cupcake liners. Pair with fresh fruits or drizzled white chocolate for added flair.
