Ingredients
  

For the Rim

  • ½ cup chamoy (divided) Used to rim the glasses
  • cup Tajin chili lime seasoning Used to rim the glasses

For the Mangonada

  • 16 oz mango chunks (frozen) For the smoothie base
  • 1 cup mango nectar or juice Adds sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice For tanginess
  • 2 tablespoons sugar To taste
  • 1 cup ice For blending
  • 1 fresh mango cut into small chunks for topping For garnish
  • 2 pieces Tamarind candy straws (optional) For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour a little chamoy and Tajin into two small saucers. Dip the rims of the glasses first into the chamoy and then into the Tajin.
  • In a blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, mango nectar or juice, lime juice, sugar, and ice. Blend until smooth. It will have the consistency between a smoothie and a sorbet.
  • Swirl some chamoy on the insides of two 16oz glasses.
  • Pour the mango mixture into the glasses.
  • Top with chopped mango, a drizzle of chamoy, and a sprinkle of Tajin.
  • Serve with a tamarind straw.

Notes

Serve with extra chamoy on the side and additional toppings like whipped cream or fruit pieces if desired.
