Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream Use cold for fluffier biscuits.
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Glaze

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted For glaze.
  • 1 tbsp honey For glaze.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and kosher salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, honey, and melted butter.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and add the wet ingredients. Stir just until combined.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead briefly until cohesive.

Baking

  • Pat the dough to a thickness of about 1 inch and cut into rounds.
  • Place the rounds onto the prepared baking sheet and re-roll scraps as necessary.
  • For the glaze, mix melted butter with honey and brush the tops of the biscuits.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with butter or honey, and enjoy!

Notes

Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. For longer storage, wrap and freeze; reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
