  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup honey

Instructions
 

Cooking Chicken

  • In a large pot, add the chicken and cook it over medium heat until it becomes tender, approximately 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot and set it aside to rest.

Cooking Rice

  • In the same pot, add the rice and cook for a minute.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, BBQ sauce, and honey. Stir well to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and allow it to simmer until the rice has cooked and absorbed all the liquid, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Once the rice is fully cooked, return the chicken to the pot and stir to mix well before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider using different types of rice or adding vegetables such as bell peppers or peas. Allowing the dish to sit for a few minutes after cooking helps develop the flavors.
