Ingredients
  

For the turkey

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil plus more for cooking
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

For the special sauce

  • 1/2 cup avocado mayo
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup like primal kitchen
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika or chili powder
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch pepper

For the bowl assembly

  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/3 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/3 cup cooked, chopped bacon optional
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare the ground turkey by mixing it with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the turkey mixture and cook until browned and fully cooked through.

Special Sauce

  • In a separate bowl, combine avocado mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika or chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the special sauce.

Assembly

  • Assemble the burger bowls by placing a base of chopped romaine lettuce, followed by the cooked turkey, cherry tomatoes, sliced onions, pickles, optional bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Drizzle the special sauce over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider serving the special sauce on the side. Garnish bowls with fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley.
