  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss) Use your preferred melting cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Chives for garnish (optional) Adds color and flavor

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the croissants in half and layer the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded cheese evenly over the croissant halves.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese layers, ensuring everything is evenly saturated.
  • Place the top halves of the croissants over the filling, creating a delicious sandwich.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the egg is set.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped chives if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw overnight and warm in the oven.
