Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Commercial or homemade seasoning can be used.
  • 12 pieces taco shells Choose hard or soft shells based on preference.

Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or Mexican blend works well.
  • ½ cup sour cream Can substitute with yogurt for a lighter option.

Optional Toppings

  • to taste sliced jalapeños Add for spice.

  • to taste avocado Sliced or diced.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Beef

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  • Add the taco seasoning and stir in some water. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens.

Assembling Tacos

  • Serve the ground beef in taco shells and top with your favorite garnishes.

Notes

Store leftover beef filling in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Taco shells should be kept separate to remain crispy.
