  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 whole onion, sliced
  • 1 whole bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for sautéing as needed olive oil

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add sliced onions and bell peppers, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  • Place provolone cheese on top of the beef mixture, cover, and let it melt.
  • Toast hoagie rolls lightly.
  • Fill each roll with the beef and cheese mixture.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with a side of crispy French fries or potato chips. You can customize the cheesesteaks with jalapeños or sautéed mushrooms for added flavor.
