Preparation

  • Begin by bringing the chicken or vegetable broth to a gentle boil in a medium saucepan.
  • In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until it turns golden and aromatic.
  • Add the uncooked long-grain rice to the garlic and butter, stirring to coat for about a minute.
  • Pour the hot broth into the rice mixture, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
  • Allow the rice to simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  • Remove the pot from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
  • Stir in the freshly grated parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper, mixing until the cheese is melted and creamy.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
