Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Butter for cooking Used for greasing the skillet

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
  • In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Allow batter to rest for a few minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a little butter.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with butter, maple syrup, and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For best results, ensure baking powder is fresh. Let the batter rest before cooking for lighter pancakes. Experiment with flavors like vanilla or spices.
