  • 1 head Broccoli florets Cut into uniform pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For coating the broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional) Add for extra flavor in the final minutes of roasting

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Wash and cut the broccoli into florets.
  • In a bowl, toss the broccoli with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  • Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Roast for about 20-25 minutes or until crispy and tender, turning halfway through.
  • If desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
  • Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

Roasted broccoli can be served with a variety of dishes and can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze the cooled florets.
