Easy Homemade Crêpes

Ingredients
  

For the batter

  • 500 ml milk Use whole or low-fat milk as per preference.
  • 2 large eggs Whisk until well blended with milk.
  • 250 g plain flour Sifted before adding to the batter.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk the milk and eggs until well blended.
  • Gradually add the flour and keep whisking until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

Cooking

  • Warm a nonstick frying pan over medium heat, then lightly grease it with cooking spray or a small amount of butter.
  • Pour about 80ml of batter into the pan and swirl it around to cover the base in a thin, even layer.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the edges begin to lift and the top no longer looks wet.
  • Flip the crêpe and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter until you have about 10 crêpes.
  • Serve warm with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For optimal flavor, allow the batter to rest for at least 30 minutes before using. Store leftovers properly to enjoy later.
