Ingredients

For the Garlic-Parmesan Mixture

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried herbes de Provence
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher or sea salt

For the Knots

  • 1 16-ounce tube refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat with cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic, herbes de Provence, parsley flakes, and salt.
  • Halve each biscuit. Roll each half into a rope about 5 inches long and tie into a loose knot.
  • Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with half of the butter mixture.

Baking

  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining butter mixture. Serve hot.

Notes

Don’t tie the knots too tightly; leave room for expansion. Brush with butter again right after baking for maximum flavor. Add extra Parmesan on top if desired. Make-Ahead: Shape the knots ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Freeze baked knots for up to 1 month. Warm in the oven at 350°F until heated through.
