Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets (skin-on, about 6 ounces / 170 grams each) Fresh is recommended for best flavor and texture.
  • 1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade, about 60 ml) Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (30 ml) Used both for brushing salmon and for green beans.

For the Green Beans

  • 12 ounces Fresh green beans, trimmed (about 340 grams) Ensure they are fresh for crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil (15 ml) Adds flavor to the green beans.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Enhances overall flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds (toasted, about 9 grams) For garnish before serving.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger (optional, grated) Adds additional flavor to the teriyaki glaze.
  • to taste Salt & pepper For seasoning both salmon and green beans.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line your sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce with the minced garlic and grated ginger, if using. Stir until combined.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then brush both sides lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Toss the trimmed green beans with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on one half of the sheet pan, spaced out evenly.
  • Spread the seasoned green beans out in a single layer on the other half of the pan.
  • Roast in the oven for approximately 12 minutes.
  • Brush the salmon generously with the teriyaki glaze and roast for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • Switch the oven to broil and broil for 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  • Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the salmon and green beans before serving.

Notes

Serve directly from the pan for a casual dining experience. Pair with rice or quinoa if desired. Consider drizzling more teriyaki sauce before serving for an extra flavor boost.
