  • 1 dough pizza dough, floured Can be store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce Garlicky sauce enhances flavor
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Adds aromatic undertones
  • 1/2 sausage chorizo, sliced Robust flavor
  • 10 pieces black olives Adds texture and flavor
  • 1 ball mozzarella, sliced or torn Essential for gooeyness
  • 1 drizzle olive oil To enhance flavor and crust
  • to taste salt & pepper Seasoning to taste
  • 1 sprig basil For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (240°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • On a lightly floured surface, stretch/roll the pizza dough and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Spread the tomato sauce over the dough. Sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Top with sliced chorizo, black olives, and mozzarella.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Baking

  • Bake for about 10 minutes at 475°F (240°C), until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Finish with a sprig of basil (or torn basil leaves) before serving.

Notes

Serve fresh out of the oven for best taste. Pair with a side salad or garlic bread.
