Main Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar (powdered sugar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup salted butter, fully melted

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan, lining it with overlapping parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, powdered sugar, and salt until evenly blended.
  • Pour in the melted butter and mix gently with a spatula until a soft dough forms with no dry flour remaining.
  • Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan using your hands or the bottom of a measuring cup.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top turns lightly golden and crisp.
  • Allow the shortbread to cool completely in the pan.
