  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts Slice in half horizontally or pound to even thickness.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing the chicken.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Add to the skillet after removing the chicken.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced For flavoring the sauce.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Forms the base of the creamy sauce.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add to thicken the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For seasoning the chicken.
  • Salt and black pepper to taste To season the chicken.
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional) Adds freshness to the presentation.

Preparation

  • Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove chicken from the skillet. Lower the heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir to deglaze the skillet. Add Parmesan and simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat the chicken with the sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm on the stove over low heat or microwave in short intervals until heated through. For a healthier twist, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt or add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
