  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup rice White or brown, according to preference
  • 1 cup cream or milk For a richer sauce, use heavy cream
  • 1 piece onion, diced Yellow or white onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic adds the best flavor
  • 1 cup chicken broth Low sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing
  • Salt and pepper, to taste For seasoning
  • Parsley for garnish (optional) Fresh parsley adds color and flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant and the onion is translucent.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until browned on both sides.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Remove chicken and set aside. Stir in cream or milk to create a creamy sauce.
  • Cook the rice according to package instructions while the sauce thickens.
  • Serve the creamy chicken sauce over the rice and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken with salt and pepper before cooking. You can also add vegetables like peas or bell peppers for texture.
