Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (Sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated

Seasonings

  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by cooking the tortellini according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
  • While the tortellini cooks, season the steak generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to enhance its flavor.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on your preferred doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and allow it to melt. Sauté the minced garlic until it becomes fragrant.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and whole milk. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Gradually add the parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  • Slice the rested steak into bite-sized pieces.
  • Add the cooked tortellini and sliced steak to the skillet, mixing everything together until coated with the creamy sauce.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt, black pepper, or red pepper flakes as needed.

Serving

  • Serve the dish warm, garnished with parsley and freshly cracked black pepper if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk or cream to restore the sauce's consistency.
