Ingredients

Burger Ingredients

  • lb ground chuck
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp ranch dressing mix
  • cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.
  • Form the mixture into four evenly sized hamburger patties, each about ¾ inch thick.
  • Let the patties rest at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes before cooking. This helps the flavors meld together and ensures the patties hold their shape when cooked.

Cooking

  • Grill the patties over medium heat on a preheated grill, flipping only once, until they reach your desired doneness. For a medium-rare burger, cook to an internal temperature of 145°F, and for well-done, cook to 160°F.

Notes

Serve with toasted buns and a variety of toppings. A burger bar with jalapeños, onion rings, and guacamole adds fun customization for guests. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days, or freeze them for longer storage.
