  • 8 slices slices of bacon Cook until crispy
  • 4 cups frozen hash browns No need to thaw
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheese types
  • 6 large eggs Whisk with other ingredients
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer the hash browns, followed by the bacon, and then the cheese.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the layers.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for 2-3 months. Can customize with various cheeses or vegetables.
