Ingredients
  

Meat and Binder

  • 1 lb ground beef Use high-quality beef for best flavor.
  • 1/2 lb ground pork Adds richness to the meatloaf.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Can substitute with crushed crackers or oats.

Filling Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped Enhances the flavor of the meatloaf.
  • 1/2 cup milk Helps retain moisture.
  • 2 pieces eggs Necessary for binding the mixture.
  • 2 tbsp ketchup Adds flavor and moisture.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adjust for spiciness.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Optional for added flavor.

Topping

  • 1/2 cup ketchup For topping the meatloaf.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  • Spread 1/2 cup of ketchup on top of the meatloaf.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or steamed green beans for a complete meal. Leftovers can be used in sandwiches or sliders.
