  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then dip each breast in breadcrumbs until fully coated.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, place the cooked chicken on top, and add more marinara sauce over the chicken.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the chicken.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve over the cooked pasta and garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

Marinate chicken breasts for extra flavor and moisture. Mix Italian seasonings into breadcrumbs for enhanced flavor. Use quality marinara sauce for best results.
